Coos Bay, September 23

This morning we started off with a myrtle wood factory tour.  Myrtle wood is one of the hardest woods on earth.  When wet (before drying) it will sink in water.

We got to view their shop

A surprise was their construction of lead-filled wood golf putters

They use a saw of good size to cut slabs for furniture making

They had a lot of great furniture to see and buy

After a cool hot-dog picnic lunch

We visited the Shore Acres Botanical Garden
